Présenter Hash Collision
A wayward attempt to report on developments in science, tech, culture, economics, and ethics
Hash Collision is my idiosyncratic venue to report on developments in science, tech, culture, economics, and ethics. Ultimately my aim is to cover thinkers and doers whose overlooked or under-reported projects have a chance of changing the world, while entertaining and educating myself and you.
Particular areas of focus are:
Tech: AI & ML, crypto protocols and projects, robotics, new computer interfaces like VR and BMIs, etc.
Science: Quantum mechanics, computational biology, astronomy, neuroscience, etc.
Culture: Contemporary art, architecture, literature, design, and hacker ephemera.
Economics: Governance structures, incentives, investments, tokens, regulations, etc.
Ethics: Applying the ideas of ancient and modern thinkers to the messy, chaotic topics above.
Ultimately I lament that we live in a world heavy in opinion but light on facts. I plan to reverse that and spend much of my time gathering and vetting facts, and only then will offer careful and circumscribed analysis that is supported by data and primary sources.
